Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in serving science, today announced the launch of the new Thermo Scientific™ LabLink xL™ Cloud Communicator to provide fully automated, real-time data transfer of quality control (QC) data from the Data Innovations Instrument Manager™ to LabLink xL software. The Cloud Communicator tool eliminates the requirement for additional hardware or software installation through the use of innovative internet-based technology.

The Cloud Communicator tool was developed in partnership with Data Innovations, a leader in providing middleware connectivity solutions for clinical laboratories.

LabLink xL software provides a 100-percent web-based quality assurance solution used in conjunction with the Thermo Scientific MAS quality controls. Automatic QC data transfer is convenient and hassle-free providing instant access to real-time QC data in LabLink xL for interlaboratory comparison and internal day-to-day QC review. It is convenient to use and is designed to reduce manual transcription errors.
